Boutique Needles (2021)

Flavor Notes: sugarcane, vanilla, longan
 
There are silver needles and then there are Boutique Needles. This is a first flush Spring pick of peak quality using the Da Bai Hao varietal of tree, unique to Jinggu area of Simao, Yunnan. Only buds are picked for this tea, which are then wilted, pan-fried (briefly, and at a low temperature), and then dried. The needles have a thick liquor and an incredible flavor — not to mention the dreamy body feel. This is a treat.
